Join Us on the Maine Pottery Tour

Open Your Studio. Share Your Story.

Each spring, the Maine Pottery Tour connects Maine’s potters and ceramics artists with an audience that truly values handcrafted work. Last year, more than 80 studios and nearly 100 artists took part, creating a statewide celebration of craft, creativity, and community. Joining the Tour means more than opening the doors of your studio – it means becoming part of a growing creative movement that supports Maine artists, builds community, and brings meaningful visibility to your work.

Registration: $60

Included in Your Registration:

  • Studio Profile page on MPT website with description, images of your work and a direct link for your studio/shop

New to the Tour?

Here are some things you need to know before signing up for the Maine Pottery Tour:

  • You need a physical location to be on the tour – *this will be the location where people will find you during the Tour weekend. You can use your home studio, your pottery business location, or you can be a guest at someone else’s MPT event. If you’re planning to be a guest at someone else's event (location), use their address when you register.
  • The cost of registration is $60.
  • Registration and payment information will be taken online during registration.
  • The deadline for registration is March 1st

Tour Event Hosts

Maine Pottery Tour event hosts are the backbone of the Tour! These pottery and ceramics artists open their studio doors over the weekend of the Tour to welcome all of our visitors. These fun spots throughout the state host demonstrations, share their process, answer all sorts of questions, and, of course, sell their beautiful designs. The locations of all of our Tour participants and event locations can always be found on the MPT website and interactive Plan My Tour app during the Tour!

Guest Potters

Some potters choose to participate as Guests – sharing space at another potter’s open studio during the Tour. This option works well for those in very remote locations, without a studio setup suitable for visitors, or who simply prefer to join another studio’s event. Guest arrangements are made directly between the potters involved. While we can sometimes make recommendations, the Tour does not facilitate these arrangements.

Guest can Register for the Tour so they can benefit from all the marketing and business exposure that event hosts do. As a registered Guest, you will have all the same opportunities to be part of our advertising, social media and newsletter marketing, and have a year-long studio listing on the Maine Pottery Tour website. Simply register for the Tour, and *use your event host's location as your physical address.

If you are unsure about your login information please email: milly@mainepotterytour.org for assistance with logging in.

Be a Sponsor!

While pottery and ceramics retail establishments can’t be on the Tour, you can benefit from our many Sponsor benefits including a Map Pin for your location on all Tour maps! Of course, you will also benefit from knowing you are supporting Maine’s ceramic artists, the small businesses that sustain them, and a tour that connects communities across the state.
